Must have the right to work in the UK (No visa sponsorship available) About The Role We are looking for a motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fully remote role within the UK, offering the opportunity to work on scalable, secure, and highly available systems. The role is open to candidates ranging from early-career to highly experienced professionals, with responsibilities aligned to experience level. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using modern tooling Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and alerts Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to support the full software lifecycle Implement security best practices and contribute to DevSecOps initiatives Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks Participate in on-call support as required (experience-dependent) Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Proficiency with Git and version control workflows Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent) Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP) Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Kubernetes administration and Helm Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) Monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) Security tooling and practices (Vault, IAM, vulnerability scanning) GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux) Experience with microservices and distributed systems Exposure to SRE practices and reliability engineering
