Strategy & Tournament Business Analyst Permanent / Full-Time
Location:
Wentworth Head Office
Make an impact across c. 90 events a year by turning complex commercial and financial data into clear, actionable decisions.
Who We Are The European Tour group is one of the world’s pre-eminent golf organisations. We are responsible for running the world‑famous DP World Tour, Legends Tour, Challenge Tour and G4D Tour (golf for the disabled). We also organise, alongside the PGA of America, golf’s greatest team contest - the Ryder Cup.
Why this role matters The European Tour group delivers a diverse ecosystem of tournaments globally, many in collaboration with local partners. We’re looking for a curious, data‑driven Analyst who can distil complex information into digestible insights, improve reporting processes and data integrity, and help shape long‑term strategies that lift event performance across the DP World Tour, HotelPlanner Tour and Legends Tour.
What You’ll Do
Own the numbers: Ingest, analyse and report on key operational and commercial data from Promoters’ events, constantly seeking smarter, more efficient processes.
Enable delivery: Liaise with internal teams and Promoters to make sure the right materials and support are in place for every event.
Benchmark performance: Work with Tournament Business, Finance and Strategy to compare financial and non‑financial outcomes across events, including Strategic Alliance partner Tours.
Fuel growth: Take a proactive, data‑led approach to prospecting new commercial partners.
Add value where needed: Contribute to ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
What you’ll bring
6 months – 3 years’ experience as a Business/Strategy Analyst (or similar in Consulting), and/or a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
Hands‑on analytics experience in a commercial environment with a focus on margin improvement.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for reporting and analysis.
Soft Skills
Proactive, professionally curious and solutions‑orientated.
Detail‑driven with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across departments.
Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
The opportunity You’ll have ownership to improve the process and data integrity of key reports and the remit to support long‑term strategies that deliver material performance improvements across our Tours. If you enjoy translating complexity into clarity, and seeing your insights influence real‑world events, this role is for you.
The European Tour group promote diversity, equality, and inclusion. We ensure that we make employment decisions by matching our business needs with skills and experience of candidates, regardless of anything.
