Team You’ll be joining Planhat’s in‑house creative agency—Studio Planhat. We’re building a disruptive B2B brand across web, social and traditional print media channels, embracing new methods like AI and building plug‑and‑play systems for GTM teams that allow us to scale high‑quality output infinitely.
Role As Planhat’s
Founding Social Marketing Lead , your mandate is to build and run the distribution engine that amplifies everything Studio Planhat creates—across social platforms, influencer networks and earned media. You’ll define how Planhat shows up across digital channels—social, influencer, and earned—and design the systems that scale our reach, visibility and momentum globally. You’ll work alongside a team of best‑in‑class creatives in brand, web and motion, publishing, iterating, and learning what actually breaks through.
Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end distribution of Studio Planhat’s output across digital channels, including LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube and emerging platforms.
Ensure our work is consistently amplified, correctly framed and adapted for each channel—optimised for reach, engagement and relevance.
Monitor performance and continuously refine cadence, timing, format and packaging to maximise visibility and momentum.
Activate organic, influencer and earned distribution to extend reach well beyond our owned channels.
Turn long‑form brand and product work into channel‑ready social expressions designed to travel.
Partner closely with brand, design, web and motion to ensure assets are visually and tonally optimised for each platform.
Refresh, reframe and repurpose existing content to extend its lifespan and impact.
Define content themes and narratives by channel to build a cohesive, recognisable presence over time.
Ensure distribution aligns tightly with launches, campaigns, events and major brand moments.
Experiment with hooks, formats and framing to learn what resonates—and codify what works.
Track and interpret distribution performance across channels (reach, engagement, traffic, downstream impact).
Turn insight into action: refine themes, guide future production and improve ROI.
Build repeatable playbooks for adaptation, distribution, amplification and measurement.
Lay the foundations for a scalable social and earned‑media function you’ll later hire into.
Qualifications
Proven experience driving awareness, reach and engagement through digital distribution—not just maintaining social channels.
A strong understanding of how content travels across social platforms, influencer networks and earned media.
Sharp, proven instincts for packaging ideas: hooks, framing, formats, pacing and narrative—what makes people stop, engage and share.
Experience owning social presence end‑to‑end, with a clear bias toward visibility, momentum and cultural relevance.
Comfort working closely with creative teams to turn great work into moments that break through.
Real experience engaging creators, influencers, founders or industry voices in a relationship‑led way (not transactional promotion).
The judgment and confidence to operate as a Lead—setting direction, making calls and building systems—while still being hands‑on, especially in the early stages.
A builder mindset: comfortable in ambiguity, energized by blank canvases and motivated by making things work at scale.
Nice to Have (not required)
Experience blending organic distribution with paid amplification.
Experience with PR, podcasts, media pitching or earned‑media loops.
A strong personal presence or audience online.
Experience building or scaling a social, creator or distribution function.
Definition of Success Month 1–2
You’ve taken clear ownership of Planhat’s digital distribution and social presence.
You understand Studio Planhat’s creative output and how it should travel across channels.
You’re shipping consistently, experimenting across platforms and creating visible signal.
Strong working relationships are in place across Brand, Web, Motion, Editorial, Product Marketing and leadership.
Month 3–6
Engagement across owned channels is meaningfully up and trending in the right direction.
Studio Planhat outputs consistently land as moments, not just posts.
Content is being efficiently repurposed and amplified—including major website and brand assets adapted across relevant channels.
Clear distribution patterns are emerging: formats, hooks, themes and amplification routes that reliably perform.
Distributed content is measurably influencing inbound interest and pipeline.
Month 6+
Planhat is consistently visible—and talked about—within relevant global communities.
Distribution runs through repeatable systems and rhythms rather than one‑off effort.
Clear, documented playbooks exist for distribution, adaptation and amplification—enabling GTM teams to consistently use existing assets and collateral effectively.
A growing network of creators, influencers and advocates is amplifying Planhat’s work organically.
Distributed content is contributing to sustained inbound pipeline growth over time.
Trajectory This is a founding role with meaningful room to grow. In the early phase, your focus is on building and proving the distribution engine—owning it end‑to‑end, refining how it works, and demonstrating clear impact on awareness, engagement and inbound momentum. As the model proves itself, this role expands. You’ll begin to hire and lead a small, high‑performing team responsible for social, amplification and earned distribution, shaping how distribution informs creative direction, campaign planning and how Planhat shows up culturally. Long‑term, this role sits at the centre of Planhat’s brand engine, helping define how the company is seen, heard and talked about globally and playing a key role in making Planhat one of the most recognised and respected B2B brands in the world.
