Reporting into a Sales Team Manager, the purpose of this Transactional Sales Executive role is to:
Key Responsibilities
Drive successful lead conversions from marketing leads and self‑generated leads to sales opportunities and achieve sales revenue targets.
Maximise the sales value of each opportunity through excellent discovery and client relationship management.
Build a pipeline of sales opportunities through outbound calls and prospecting activity.
Manage workload and forward planning to ensure sales targets are met through the right mix of outbound calls, lead conversions, pipeline management, quotes sent and contracts won.
Achieve the required output and mix of activities to meet the agreed KPIs set by the Team Manager.
Follow up all leads assigned within agreed timescales, ensuring thorough client discovery to maximise each sales opportunity.
Conduct weekly outbound prospecting activities and represent the company in a highly professional manner.
Proactively develop self‑generated leads to support the sales pipeline and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
Maintain comprehensive, up‑to‑date records in the company’s CRM system, completing all follow‑up actions and tasks in line with agreed global sales processes.
Stay aware of marketing activities and ensure appropriate follow‑up on local campaigns and other initiatives.
Produce accurate proposals aligned with product requirements and authorised sale items, completing refresher training and development activities.
Stay abreast of business activity in your sector(s) to support client requirements and identify new sales opportunities.
Continuously update product knowledge and market awareness of changes in standards and competitor landscape.
Ensure pipeline accuracy—close dates and status are regularly reviewed and updated.
Support other team members as needed to meet expected activity and sales targets.
Collaborate with SD and SDS colleagues to meet client KPIs and raise issues or risks for resolution.
