Please note this role is fully on-site, so suitable applicants must be willing to commute to Harwell, Didcot, Monday to Friday.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Follow up on inbound and warm inquiries generated through marketing channels, nurturing and qualifying prospects.
Work with the sales and engineering teams to create detailed proposals, technical presentations and solutions.
Proactively reach out to potential customers through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and social media.
Build and maintain existing accounts of the global customer base.
Engage with prospects across different sectors and geographies, understanding their challenges and effectively communicating the value our products can provide.
Qualify leads and assess their suitability for products or services.
Carry out meetings or demos with qualified prospects.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads and interactions in Salesforce.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align lead-generation efforts.
Work with the sales team to build strategies to reach sales targets.
Continuously update your knowledge of products and industry trends.
Provide feedback to improve lead generation and qualification processes.
Assist in the development of sales scripts and outreach strategies.
Contribute to the development of sales collateral and materials.
Attend industry events or trade shows to network and identify potential leads.
Support the sales team in achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Previous Experience / Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or lead generation in a highly technical discipline.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Educated to degree level, preferably in an Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline (2.1 or above).
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships.
Goal-oriented mindset and a desire to meet and exceed targets.
A logical approach to problem-solving and strong negotiation abilities.
Desirable Requirements
Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial automation.
Knowledge of machine vision.
