As we continue to enjoy an exciting period of growth in the UK, we are looking for a Monitoring Systems Administrator (OSS) to support us with our upcoming projects.
Responsibilities
Support the due diligence process and acquire knowledge of current Monitoring and asset discovery situation.
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current Monitoring Environment (SCOM and many other similar Tools Solarwinds) and IT asset discovery tool.
Identify and document all relevant processes, configurations, customizations, and integrations.
Collaborate with technical teams, support functions, and business stakeholders to extract a full picture of the environment.
Help determine how new solutions can be implemented (In this case, it will be Dynatrace or BMC Discovery)
Deliver clear documentation and strategic recommendations to inform decision‑making and planning.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience leading or overseeing Systems Monitoring Operations with mixed stack of COTS and Open‑Source Solutions.
Technical background and knowledge and experience on implementation of different types of Monitoring (Server, Logs, Application Performance Management, Synthetic).
Past exposure to Microsoft SCOM/Solarwinds is desirable as it is a key part of the current environment or Dynatrace as future monitoring tool.
BMC Discovery past experience as optional skill.
Willing to learn new and lead the implementation of new solutions.
