About
A precision engineering company in the Dartford area is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their busy design team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical engineering knowledge who wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Work on detailed designs and manufacturing drawings
Modify and up-issue existing drawings
Compile design documentation and create BOMs
Liaise with internal teams and occasionally visit sites
Support and learn alongside an experienced design engineer
Attend project meetings and provide technical input
Conduct feasibility studies and suggest design improvements
Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations
Collaborate with manufacturing to optimise processes and reduce costs
Review prototypes and provide feedback for production readiness
Maintain accurate records of design changes and revisions
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Previous design office experience desirable but not essential
Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude
