Opportunity We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join our team in Redhill, Surrey.
The role will involve working on challenging projects with a diverse group of professionals and contributing to the success of innovative initiatives.
Work Arrangement Full‑time, Hybrid: Must be on site 3 days a week at
London Road, Surrey, RH1 1NA, and may work up to 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure solutions using AWS native services.
Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to guarantee uptime.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and improve best‑practice adoption.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and DevOps.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, SNS, SQS).
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or AWS CodePipeline.
Excellent problem‑solving skills; capable of working independently or in a team.
AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of software development fundamentals, OOP and design patterns.
Proficiency in Python for automation and tool development.
Experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks.
Ability to produce clean, maintainable code.
Experience with code‑review processes and tools.
Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Knowledge of security best practices in development and deployment.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools for performance and reliability.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Must Have
Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: Foundational IT Infrastructure, Operating Systems and Software.
