Civil Design Engineer

About
Key Responsibilities
Provide civil design input and produce preliminary drawings for foundations, bunds, and bases.
Interpret ground investigation reports and remediation needs.
Deliver civil designs for equipment foundations, drainage, earthworks, fencing, and site layouts.
Prepare specifications, structural calculations, and temporary works drawings.
Upload contestable designs to DNO portals and manage feedback.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and structural engineers.
Review and check designs by others.
Support construction teams with design interpretation.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Requirements
Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
5+ years of civil design experience, ideally in electrical infrastructure.
Proficient in AutoCAD; 3D modelling experience is a plus.
Experience using Tekla TEDDS software.
Use of Civils 3D to produce cut & fill/ earthworks drawings (desirable).
Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence.
Self-driven with the ability to work independently.
Full UK driving licence.
