*Location:* South Georgia (Semi-Remote). The main office is in Douglas, GA with satellite offices in Waycross and Valdosta, GA.
*Job Overview:* We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our team and represent the state in juvenile court matters across South Georgia. This position combines remote work flexibility with the requirement for regular in-person court appearances. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Represent the state in juvenile court proceedings, including in-person court appearances multiple days per week.
* Prepare and interview witnesses for court cases.
* Draft and review orders, motions, and other legal documents.
* Collaborate with a paralegal to ensure timely and accurate completion of all casework.
* Maintain compliance with strict deadlines and legal protocols.
*Requirements:*
* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia.
* Experience in juvenile law or courtroom litigation is preferred.
* Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with efficiency and attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
* Willingness to travel to various juvenile courts within South Georgia as needed.
