About Gains App Gains is a new UK money app on a mission to help people keep more of what they already spend through cashback, smarter spending tools and simple, everyday wins. We’re building a culturally relevant, content-led brand that helps people feel more confident with their money without the jargon.
The Role This is a hands‑on creative role for someone who can ideate, film, edit and publish content independently. You’ll be responsible for producing high‑quality, social-native content that grows our audience, strengthens the brand and drives app downloads.
You’ll work closely with Sammie, our founder, but will also create your own content end‑to‑end from idea to upload.
What You’ll Be Doing
Create, film and edit short‑form videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) using an iPhone
Develop weekly content ideas including Gains skits, storytelling concepts, trends and educational pieces
Edit content using CapCut or Premiere (basic)
Produce static social assets (carousels, simple graphics)
Own the posting schedule across Instagram, TikTok and other relevant channels
Jump on trends quickly and adapt them for the Gains tone of voice
Build and maintain a weekly content calendar
Track performance and optimise based on engagement and growth
Support campaign ideas for feature launches, community moments and app growth initiatives
Work with the founder to shoot occasional collaborative content
Requirements
2–4 years experience creating short‑form content for brands, creators or agencies
Strong on‑camera and behind‑the‑camera instincts
Proficient in CapCut or Premiere
Able to conceptualise, shoot and edit content independently
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and short‑form trends
Comfortable managing multiple pieces of content per week
Excellent storytelling instincts and meme/trend awareness
A portfolio of social‑first work (personal or professional)
Bonus Points
Worked in fintech, consumer apps, money/finance content or cultural brands
Graphic design skills for improving carousels
You’re a natural problem‑solver who loves creative testing and iteration
Experience driving measurable growth targets (downloads, followers, engagement)

Growth across IG/TikTok based on agreed targets
Noticeable uplift in app downloads attributable to content
Campaigns and skits that land culturally and fit the Gains brand
