Portal Londrinatur . We are seeking a seasoned engineer to provide technical leadership for the definition, design, development, and qualification of complex hardware systems, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with all programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse customers’ and stakeholders’ needs using advanced studies, simulations, mock‑ups, models, and prototypes.
Define component or subsystem requirements, functions, and interfaces.
Formalise specifications and architectural designs for components or subsystems.
Prepare and perform component or subsystem verification and validation tests.
Maintain hardware architecture stability across all lifecycle phases from bid to delivery.
Direct and coordinate hardware architecture studies.
Approve technical, technological, and methodological choices for selected hardware architecture.
Guarantee adherence to in‑scope standards, reuse policy, and product development plans.
Identify modelling, simulation, and prototyping opportunities.
Co‑ordinate product definition and assess trade‑offs between cost, customer requirements, and technological possibilities.
Prepare Design & Justification Files.
Provide knowledge on state‑of‑the‑art hardware architecture, accounting for future developments.

Experience architecting racks, cabinets, and network infrastructure for marine or similar harsh environments.
Desirable Skills
Hardware design, development, and qualification of systems or sub‑systems specific to SONAR or high‑reliability communications systems deployed in harsh environments.
Experience with underwater acoustics and/or sonar.
Experience designing equipment for the sub‑sea environment.
Experience with design‑for‑cost, design‑for‑manufacture, manufacturing specifications, and new product introduction.
Experience
Minimum five years’ experience in a Systems or Hardware Engineering role within maritime, aerospace, or defence sectors.
Equivalent experience in mechanical or electronics design is also considered.

Qualifications
L5 qualification (degree or equivalent in engineering or science) with at least five years’ experience in a similar role.
