About This Role We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to lead risk analytics for financial crime risk management at Wise. This role sits at the intersection of analytics and mission‑critical risk management, supporting Wise’s efforts to proactively identify, measure, and mitigate financial crime risks.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain dashboards of KRIs and risk appetites for fraud risk management.
Proactively identify and lead risk initiatives, develop metrics, run deep‑dives, trend analysis, and incident thematic analysis.
Provide analytical inputs requiring quantitative assessments for product changes, risk assessment frameworks, incident reviews, scenario testing, and regional impact assessments.
Ensure control assurance testing adequately covers relevant scenarios for DE and OE testing.
Provide quantitative risk analysis for quarterly risk assessments and support risk governance committees, presentations, and product planning forums.
Collaborate with second‑line model risk management and participate in relevant forums.
Work with Compliance Managers, CRO, and other key risk stakeholders to implement risk strategy for financial crime analytics.
What You’ll Bring
Strong quantitative background (statistics, data science, actuarial, finance).
Experience in risk analytics, especially financial crime or fraud risk.
Proficiency with data‑visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data‑management platforms (SQL, Python, R).
Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex analytics to non‑technical stakeholders.
Hands‑on mindset with a drive to build scalable, actionable solutions.
Team‑player who can influence cross‑functional teams and shape strategic direction.
