Role Overview In this apprenticeship you will work with Engineering and Industry teams to design software solutions for our engineering systems and hardware. You’ll collaborate across the business to deliver effective software systems and grow your skills. The role includes supporting embedded systems, allowing you to test your coding on real‑time cutting‑edge hardware.
Apprentice Programme
You’ll study at the University of Strathclyde toward a BSc in Software Development.
The 4‑year programme combines university studies with practical application in our Glasgow software function.
One day per week is dedicated to university study; the remaining four days involve work duties.
Apprentices attend on‑campus classes 10 days annually (once a month during term‑time).
On completion, you will transition to a permanent role at Thales in Glasgow.
Requirements
4 Highers (BBBB) including Maths, Computing Science or Physics
National 5 English at grade C or above
Permanent right to work in the UK
