Security Architect
to lead secure IT solution design, governance, and vulnerability management across our client base.
Base Pay Range £55,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
Lead the design of secure, scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions for new and existing clients (50%).
Produce and review high‑level design documents (HLDs) in line with razorblue’s standards.
Ensure security controls and architectural principles are built into all designs.
Join client meetings to gather requirements and translate them into secure technical solutions.
Present proposed designs confidently to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Support Account Managers and the Solution Architect team in preparing technical proposals and scopes.
Balance commercial and technical priorities to deliver solutions that are both secure and viable.
Act as razorblue’s subject‑matter expert on cybersecurity best practice (20%).
Align all solution designs with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, and NCSC guidelines.
Conduct internal and client‑facing security reviews, readiness assessments, and recommendations.
Maintain current penetration testing qualifications to support Cyber Essentials Plus assessments.
Oversee and support vulnerability assessments across client environments (30%).
Use industry‑standard tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Defender for Endpoint) to identify vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses.
Review scan results and coordinate remediation activities with the Consulting and Security Operations teams.
Provide technical guidance to consultants and engineers on patch management, configuration hardening, and security control implementation.
Qualifications & Experience
Full UK Driving Licence.
At least one IASME‑recognised cybersecurity qualification (e.g., CREST Registered Tester, Offensive Security Certified Professional, CHECK Team Member/Leader).
Microsoft Stack experience, including Microsoft 365, and Windows Server installation & configuration.
Virtualisation and cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure).
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys and threat‑management solutions (MDM, MFA, email filtering, next‑generation firewalls, SIEM).
Strong communication, relationship‑building and people‑centric service skills.
Fluent in English, able to explain complex technical issues clearly.
