Data Analyst
to join their expanding analytics function.
Role Overview As a
Data Analyst , you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making across the business. You’ll work with large datasets, financial products, customer data and performance metrics to help shape the organisation’s direction and enhance its competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
Extract, clean and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and key insights.
Develop dashboards, visualisations and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
Provide analytical support to teams across Finance, Risk, Operations and Customer functions.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
Ensure all data outputs meet regulatory expectations and are accurate, compliant and aligned with internal governance standards.
Support the development of data models and forecasting tools to enhance planning and performance analysis.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear, concise and commercially focused manner.
Contribute to ongoing improvements in data quality, data governance and reporting processes.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within financial services, banking, insurance, pensions or fintech.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
Proficiency in SQL is essential; experience with Python or R is advantageous.
Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar).
Strong understanding of data governance, reporting standards or FCA-regulated environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation and quality assurance.
Degree in a STEM, finance or data-related discipline preferred.
