Our client has been trading for over 35 years and is a true industry leader, with expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of steam, hot water and air heating systems. Due to contract awards and expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team to cover a portfolio of long‑term commercial contracts within the M25 in London and the periphery.
Job Purpose
As the Commercial Gas Engineer you will be required to maintain services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget and quality within the company's operational targets.
Carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts and carry out repairs.
Undertake gas servicing, repairs and maintenance.
Carry out other maintenance, repairs and remedial works as directed.
Call‑out duties via rota (paid door‑to‑door).
Comply with safe working practices ensuring the safety of the workforce and public at all times.
Follow the company's Health & Safety policy at all times and attend safety meetings, training and briefings as required.
Experience required
Minimum 5 years relevant experience of working in the commercial gas industry.
Knowledge of plumbing and commercial gas engineering.
Experience in repairs, servicing, maintenance and installation.
Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in commercial and/or domestic premises.
Working knowledge of heating distribution and ventilation system is essential, as the majority of works will be within plant rooms with all associated equipment.
Experience with routine maintenance of associated plant items such as pumps, heat changers, pressure vessels and valves.
Ability to use a PDA device.
Call‑out rota 1 in every 5 weeks.

CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, TPCP1A
CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1
WAT1 Water Heaters
UDHW Unvented Domestic Hot Water
LPG qualified (desirable not essential)
TPCP1 Testing & Purging (desirable not essential)
Valid full clean driving licence (maintained)
DBS check required.

Role Overview
You will join a domestic heating maintenance team, carrying out servicing, breakdowns and repairs on gas central heating systems within residential properties. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to work independently, and a high standard of compliance with current legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair domestic gas heating systems and appliances.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience diagnosing faults on domestic gas heating systems.
Previous social housing or domestic repair experience.
Additional gas or renewable qualifications.
Strong first‑time fix rate.
Gas Engineer – Spider (Chiswick, West London) Permanent, full‑time role. Salary ranging from £45,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience. Pension, fully stocked work van, uniform and PPE provided.
About the role:
Work across West London with residential challenges, standard working hours Monday to Friday. No weekend or evening work.
About you:
Qualified and experienced Gas Engineer for domestic boilers, cookers and fires.
Experience in boiler replacement, conversion to combi, UHWSS, UFH, cookers installation, radiators, and thermostats.
Fault‑finding experience on boilers and heating systems in general.
Basic plumbing ability.
Provide excellent service and want to be recognised with positive customer reviews.
Love problem‑solving and will complete work in a timely manner.
Physically fit and able.
Minimum 5 years of experience in London as a Gas Engineer.
Minimum 10 years of experience in Plumbing.
