About the Role As a Business Analyst, you will engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable IT requirements. You will play a key role in investigating business situations, evaluating options for improvement, and ensuring that information systems effectively support business objectives. This position is ideal for someone who thrives as an agent of change and enjoys supporting business transformation through analysis and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to long-term planning and align business ambitions with IT releases and dependencies.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders (business and technical) to shape and inform project direction.
Coordinate the flow of work from business to IT, from initial idea through validation to formal project setup.
Provide IT input to benefits identification and management, ensuring benefit owners are identified.
Support business and process change initiatives.
Elicit, document, and validate both functional and non-functional requirements using interviews, workshops, and analytical techniques.
Represent business requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clarity and traceability.
Ensure data flows consistently and correctly between systems, and that new/changed data elements are accurately captured.
Complete all project documentation to time, cost, and quality standards using specified templates.
Performance Measures
Timely and quality completion of project documentation.
Positive feedback from workshops, business engagement, and key stakeholders.
Recognition for subject matter expertise and business analysis skills.

Expert guidance and consultancy in technical specialisms.
Business strategy and planning: analyzing processes, recommending solutions, and developing contingency plans.

Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques.
Experience influencing stakeholders on options, scope, and solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working with external suppliers.
Experience in a retail organization.
Knowledge of business processes in areas such as Finance or Supply Chain.
ISEB BA Foundation and BA Practice certifications.
