About
Purpose of the Role
The Food & Beverage Floor Manager is responsible for maintaining service and brand standards, maximizing profits of the Food & Beverage Department, scheduling employee shifts, training staff, assisting guests, and maintaining consistently high levels of standards of service. He or she will also be an effective leader and must be a true ambassador to The Manner brand.
Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Oversee guest needs and service standards across all venues.
- Prioritize tasks to address guest requirements promptly.
Staff Recruitment & Training
- Recruit and onboard staff with timely hiring and comprehensive training.
- Ensure new hires are equipped with training materials and pass assessments before starting shifts.
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Foster seamless operations through collaboration with F&B managers and effective communication.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain venue standards, oversee inventory, and ensure food, beverage, and service quality.
- Ensure adequate shift staffing and completion of side work.
Employee Performance & Conduct
- Monitor and address staff performance, enforce conduct standards, and provide ongoing training.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Manage schedules, payroll, and end-of-shift reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
Menu & Inventory Management
- Collaborate on menu updates, manage beverage costs, and conduct regular inventory checks.
Training & Compliance
- Train staff on service standards, hygiene, and compliance with regulations.
- Ensure staff meet uniform and appearance guidelines.
Additional Responsibilities
- Optimize labor costs and support operations through task delegation.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by management.
- Adhere to all local and State Health Department standards.
- Hold NYS Food Handler Certificate.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of direct or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years work experience in NYC.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails and spirits.
- Fluent in the English language: ability to read, write and comprehend instructions. Bi or Mulit-lingual preferred.
- Knowledge of 7Shifts, Toast, Vensure HR, Costing, Inventory preferred.
- Work efficiently, utilize multi-tasking, and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to be initiative and work independently.
- Ability to adhere to high levels of confidentiality.
- Have an outgoing, upbeat personality and positive attitude.
- Handle working in a high energy and fast paced environment.
- Guest-service oriented.
- Have the sincere desire to serve guests.
Physical Requirements
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 20 lbs. without assistance
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Remain in stationary position for extended periods of time

- Salary Range $70k – 80k / year.
