Associate Mechanical Design Engineer / Building Services / MEP / Consultancy / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
This role is to join a thriving practice of mechanical and electrical building services design engineers; they cover a range of projects in sectors including pharmaceutical, education, industrial, financial, hotels, leisure health and residential.
You will be a mechanical design engineer at either a senior or associate senior level and upon joining will become part of a highly supportive team environment where you'll feel like a trusted, valued professional and colleague from day one. Responsibilities
Establish client brief, technical requirements, scope of works and provide information for cost plans.
Run projects from inception through to completion.
Monitor engineering resource requirements for each project within your control.
Carry out concept design to detailed design through to tender and completion.
Maintain client and design team relationships.
Review and comment on information provided by contractors/sub-contractors.
Attend and contribute to design team meetings, client meetings, pre‑contract and post‑contract meetings.
Have a strong awareness of Low Carbon design.
Experience Required
Proven experience as a mechanical design engineer within building services.
Preferably degree qualified.
Chartered or a desire to become chartered would be beneficial.
A consultancy background.
Experience of a range of different project types.
Knowledge of British Standards.
Excellent communication and written skills.
