About
Business Development Manager
to expand our client base, grow revenue, and strengthen strategic relationships across the construction sector. You will identify new business opportunities, build lasting partnerships, and collaborate closely with our recruitment operations to deliver tailored workforce solutions that help clients succeed.
Key Responsibilities Business Growth & Client Acquisition
Identify, prospect, and secure new clients within construction (contractors, builders, developers, M& E firms, etc.).
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting key markets and sectors.
Relationship Management
Build trusted relationships with decision-makers at construction and project management firms.
Act as the primary point of contact for client accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery and responsiveness.
Conduct regular account reviews to deepen client engagement and identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities.
Market Insight & Strategy
Provide strategic input into service offerings and pricing to maintain market leadership.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with internal recruitment consultants to align client needs with candidate delivery.
Prepare sales forecasts, performance metrics, and regular reports for senior leadership.
Skills & Experience Required Essential
Proven track record in B2B sales or business development (ideally in recruitment, staffing, or construction sectors).
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
Desirable
Experience in recruitment or workforce solutions sales.
Familiarity with UK construction labour market and compliance challenges.
CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, Bullhorn) and sales reporting experience.
