About

The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-sufficient individual with experience in the design and delivery of mechanical systems within the water and/or wastewater industry. You will be able to independently deliver mechanical design packages from concept to commissioning, working effectively either as part of a team or individually. You will also have the ambition to progress your career towards a Lead Design Engineer role, with responsibility for overseeing designs and leading client discussions on behalf of the company. Key Role and Responsibilities
The Mechanical Design & Project Engineer will play a key role within a multidisciplinary team and will be involved in a variety of projects at different stages, ranging from concept design, tender, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and final handover. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Adhering to CDM regulations, company procedures, and client asset standards. Collaborating with other engineering disciplines throughout each project. Selecting equipment and leading discussions with the supply chain. Preparing hydraulic calculations for gravity and pumped systems. Participating in design studies such as HAZOP, HAZCON, and HAZCOMM.
