Graduate Engineer - IA Hardware, Systems Engineering Join Roke as a Graduate Engineer in IA Hardware and Systems Engineering. Career Development As a Roke graduate you will gain a broad mix of technical and soft‑skill training. In the first six weeks you’ll attend a bootcamp with fellow graduates where you will sharpen your skills before moving onto live projects. Over the first two years you will receive ongoing technical and soft‑skill training, develop a personal Roke portfolio that supports salary reviews and career aspirations, and have pastoral care and coaching through line management.
Projects & Responsibilities Roke uses a project‑oriented structure that encourages learning across a range of engineering disciplines. Your responsibilities may include:
Systems engineering for complex hardware and software solutions.
RF design, power‑supply design, and FPGA development.
Embedded and front‑end software development.
Modelling and simulation work.
Running and leading small technical teams.
Participating in bidding activities and client interactions.
Flexibility to try new skills and roles, supported by senior engineers who regularly change projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical hardware design and development.
Systems design and network/communications systems.
Systems engineering lifecycle knowledge.
Requirements engineering and system architecture.
Systems testing experience.
Technical drawing and CAD software tools.
UML and Archimate modelling.
Practical skills such as soldering, hardware assembly, prototyping, etc.
Security & Eligibility Due to the nature of this position, you must achieve SC clearance before starting. Applicants should be British citizens and have resided in the UK for the last five years.
