Job Title: Microsoft Systems Engineer
Location: Tamworth
We’re looking for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join a technology-driven business and play a key role in managing and improving their IT infrastructure. This is a hands‑on role covering Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Hyper‑V, with responsibility for both day‑to‑day operations and long‑term projects.
The Role
Administer and support Windows Server, AD, Hyper‑V, and Azure environments
Monitor and optimise network/server performance, security, and backups
Troubleshoot complex technical issues across Microsoft and Linux systems
Provide 3rd line support and guidance to the wider IT team
Liaise with vendors and implement system upgrades and improvements
Key Skills:
Real‑world, hands‑on use of Intune, not just device enrolment
Security experience with Defender for Endpoint and/or Purview DLP, retention, or labelling
Ability to troubleshoot in hybrid cloud environments and respond to modern endpoint issues
Good understanding of IT security protocols and compliance
Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell desirable)
