Hippo is recruiting for an
Intermediate Business Analyst
to join our growing consultancy. As a Business Analyst you translate complex business problems and user needs into a set of detailed requirements for the end‑to‑end service or product, using epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria. You will clearly communicate business requirements and user needs to a variety of stakeholders, including SMEs and the team, using appropriate methods of communication or documentation. Your Role In a Nutshell
Work with the Product Owner and/or Delivery Manager to establish and maintain a prioritised product, programme or project backlog of what needs to be built Work with designers to inform the creation and iteration of prototypes for the services or product to solve user problems Document business processes for products or services to inform recommendations and identify clear benefits Use insights from user research and metrics to inform the business analysis approach and explain decisions clearly Advocate for agile delivery, helping to identify the best agile processes for projects and measuring outcomes Run workshops with your team and stakeholders Build long‑term relationships with stakeholders Advocate for the use of agile business analysis, particularly for product or service delivery Advise and support business analysis colleagues and other members of agile teams Share best practices within the Hippo business analysis community, including attending events and writing blog posts Skills and Experience
Strong business analysis skills, including communication, listening and organisational skills Expertise in eliciting and managing requirements to meet user needs within a product or service focussed project Enjoy working collaboratively with team members and experts Comfortable working in rapid sprint cycles Strong presenter, happy to sell the benefits of business analysis to people who are not familiar with the discipline Positive, can‑do attitude Consultancy skills, caring about client needs and motivations Ability to share skills and experience with clients to enable continuous improvement after your departure Experience working in an agile workplace Qualifications
