Big Health is a remote‑first company dedicated to digital therapeutics for mental health. We’re looking for an experienced SEO Manager to manage and execute our organic search strategy and help more patients discover our evidence‑based treatments for insomnia and anxiety & worry. This role drives sustainable organic visibility and growth, supporting patient acquisition and long‑term engagement. Enjoy benefits including a generous vacation policy, professional development fund, flexible working arrangements, and more. Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business objectives, with a focus on driving organic growth, patient acquisition, and long‑term visibility. Conduct keyword research to identify high‑value search terms across insomnia, anxiety, and related mental health needs; map keywords to the customer journey to capture both informational and conversion‑focused intent. Optimise website architecture, landing pages, and content for both users and search engines, ensuring technical SEO best practices are met (site speed, mobile‑friendliness, structured data, crawlability). Partner with the Content Manager to plan and optimise high‑quality, patient‑centred content that answers search intent, improves rankings, and supports our mission. Monitor and analyse performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs and other SEO tools to track rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and ROI. Develop and implement link‑building strategies to increase authority and trust. Continuously adapt strategy and processes based on industry developments and search engine algorithm changes, proactively reallocating resources to maintain and grow visibility. Own the measurement framework and report on KPIs and insights to stakeholders, providing clear recommendations backed by data. Educate and support internal teams on SEO best practices. Required Qualifications
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3‑5 years of proven SEO experience, ideally within healthcare, digital health, or another highly regulated sector. Demonstrable track record of improving organic visibility, rankings, and conversions. Strong knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors. Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs or similar. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, especially content and product. Analytical mindset with strong skills in data interpretation and translating insights into action. We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building a culturally and experientially diverse team that leads with empathy and respect. Additionally, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. The UK base salary range for this full‑time position is £40,000‑£50,000. This figure reflects base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Additional compensation may include variable pay, discretionary bonuses, and equity.
