VIGO is thrilled to recruit for a BEMS Design Engineer on behalf of our brilliant client. We're seeking a technically confident engineer with a knack for designing and delivering Building Energy Management Systems projects. In this role, you'll manage the complete design process, from concept formation to detailed design and documentation, all while fostering a spirit of innovation and excellence.
Role Overview As the BEMS Design Engineer, your primary focus is to deliver high-quality BEMS designs that integrate seamlessly with HVAC, IT networks, and serial communication systems. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and estimators, translating technical design concepts into reality.
Key Responsibilities
Produce comprehensive BEMS designs, from initial conception to detailed technical plans
Create, manage and respond to RFIs, and provide insightful responses to client and consultant queries
Assist in the selection of optimal equipment for every project
Develop accurate network topologies and system architecture
Contribute to clear and detailed system descriptions of operation
Take ownership of creating and managing technical documentation
Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development
Collaborate with various team members to ensure outstanding project delivery
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 3 years' experience in designing and delivering BEMS projects
Proficient in using Trend, Tridium, North, KNX, or Distech platforms
Familiarity with integrating BEMS with HVAC, IT networks, and serial communication systems
Strong technical design and analytical skills
Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail
Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
