About
As a Mobile Maintenance Electrician, you'll ensure all electrical systems within schools operate safely and efficiently. From carrying out preventative maintenance to responding to day-to-day issues, you'll play a key part in creating a safe and comfortable environment for young adults and children.
Responsibilities
Conducting electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a small number of schools.
Performing fault‑finding, testing, and planned preventative maintenance.
Maintaining lighting, power, emergency lighting, and small power systems.
Ensuring all work meets electrical regulations and company safety standards.
Supporting wider building services such as access control, fire alarms, and HVAC (with specialist support as needed).
Assisting with general facilities tasks and responding to helpdesk requests.
Liaising with external contractors during electrical‑related projects.
What We’re Looking For
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
DBS check (enhanced preferred, standard allowed to begin working as you will be working with others to start with).
Experience working in commercial or office environments or education setting.
Strong fault‑finding abilities and a commitment to safety.
Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) is desirable but not essential.
This role is a temporary position with the chance to turn permanent for the right person.
Own transport or the ability to commute to Islington for an 8am start is essential.
