Green Power Plant Hire is a family-run business and a leader in the UK plant hire industry. Since 2012, we’ve built a reputation for reliability and excellence in service. We are now seeking a skilled and flexible Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team, maintaining and repairing plant machinery on-site to ensure minimal downtime for our clients. Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will: Travel to client sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on a range of plant machinery, including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and more. Perform preventative maintenance and servicing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all on-site repairs. Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job sheets and parts used. Provide professional and courteous service to clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout the repair process. Keep the service vehicle stocked and organized with tools and spare parts. Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent. Experience:
Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair, preferably within the plant hire or construction industries. Knowledge of a variety of plant machinery and their systems.
Skills:
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Licences:
A clean, valid UK driving licence is essential.
Personal Attributes:
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills. Proactive and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
