Location: Bradford, England
We are seeking a skilled Business analyst to work in Bradford on a Fixed term contract basis, the successful candidate will engage with front‑office, middle‑office, and back‑office stakeholders to understand business objectives and will also translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, and user stories.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
Prioritize requirements based on business impact, regulatory urgency, and technical feasibility
Identify inefficiencies and propose automation or system enhancements
Support business case development and ROI analysis for proposed initiatives
Act as a bridge between business users, technology teams, and external vendors
Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration and ensure alignment across departments
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure timely communication of project updates
Define UAT scope, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria
Support UAT execution, defect tracking, and resolution
Ensure solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards
Maintain comprehensive documentation including traceability matrices, change logs, and impact assessments
Ensure adherence to internal governance and external compliance frameworks
Qualifications
Strong business analyst experience within Utilities industry
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a client‑facing onsite environment
Exposure to data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and SQL
Understanding of cloud‑based trading infrastructure and API integrations
