Position Summary As a Design Lead, you will manage multidisciplinary design teams, drive the delivery of high‑quality and affordable solutions, and ensure all projects meet construction, cost, and programme targets. You will work primarily in the UK water market, contributing to projects that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of multi‑disciplinary design for your projects or programme.
Develop and manage a team comprising electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers.
Lead the development of affordable and low‑carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks.
Deliver detailed designs that meet construction needs and client acceptance, managing cost and programme.
Challenge engineering solutions and delivery effectiveness, ensuring the best value for the client.
Provide direction and oversight of project controls, ensuring compliance with quality, programme, and cost requirements.
Maintain positive client relationships at the project level.
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering.
Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects and knowledge of CDM 2015 Designer or Principal Designer duties.
Strong technical knowledge in own discipline and appreciation of other disciplines.
Able to travel to sites across the operational region.
A proactive and pragmatic approach.
