Technical Sales Representative
to join the UK Sales team.
Reporting to the UK Sales Manager and Northern European Sales Director, the candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑level technical sales expertise within the Hot Melt Packaging sector throughout the UK.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of existing salesmen and technical service engineers. Full product training will be provided.
Candidates may be home‑based and/or work using resources in the UK Headquarters in Telford and must be comfortable working independently and able to travel extensively throughout the UK.
This role will involve all aspects of the sales cycle from research and identification of new targets, development of new business opportunities, and management/retention of existing customers.
Specific Responsibilities
Become an expert in Valco Melton’s Hot Melt technologies through training and hands‑on installations.
Manage, develop, and grow existing customer accounts throughout the UK.
Develop new opportunities in the Hot Melt Packaging sector throughout the UK.
Maintain and support the Salesforce CRM database.
Work closely with Customer Service and Technical Service to provide first‑class support and technical assistance.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Relevant direct sales experience, preferably of a technical nature, is essential.
Be an effective communicator, capable of engaging with decision makers and all levels of seniority.
Must be self‑motivated and highly organized.
Must have travel flexibility to ensure all parts of the territory are managed effectively.
High aptitude for technical equipment, specifically electromechanical.
Capable of dealing effectively with high‑pressure and demanding environments.
