This is a hybrid role; the Business Development Team works from our Manchester office 5 days per week for the first 3 months, with the opportunity to work in the office 3 days per week thereafter.
What you’ll be doing
Build and manage a Manchester‑based acquisition sales team of 8‑12 BDMs, mentoring and coaching through formal and informal channels.
Review performance and effectiveness using analytics and pipeline management.
Balance your team’s targets and objectives with broader business priorities.
Agree and set daily/weekly targets and KPIs for your team.
Collaborate with other Sales Managers on best practice, process improvements and knowledge sharing.
Work with the Head of Sales for Manchester to assist in developing sales strategies to drive growth.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across the business.
Collaborate with the People Team on sourcing, interviewing and onboarding talent into your team.
We're Looking For
A comprehensive understanding of SMEs and their financial workings.
Data‑driven mindset and ability to analyse funnel and performance data.
Ability to motivate and drive performance within your team.
Track record of mentoring and coaching junior team members to success.
Results‑driven commercial mindset.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead by example in telesales.

Interview Process
First stage: 30‑minute intro and values call with Talent Partner.
Second stage: 30‑minute coffee and introductory interview with Head of Sales, Manchester.
Final stage: Interview loop on site in our Manchester office – case study presentation task, meeting with Senior People Partner for Sales, and meeting with the CCO.
