Overview Of Role This role will take responsibility for shaping and implementing the next phase for our group and travel trade sales strategy across our Covent Garden Museum site, Museum Depot, and Hidden London tours. It will focus on increasing travel trade engagement, group visitation and income by building strong commercial partnerships and key relationships. The post holder will also contribute to the effective operational delivery of these markets ensuring clear communications and efficient booking processes. Working alongside colleagues across the Museum, success in this role will rely on effective cross‑departmental working to drive revenue and growth.
Key Accountabilities
Own the Groups and Travel Trade Strategy, including key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and objectives (as agreed with your people leader as part of the overall LTM budget), and work with Marketing to develop and execute the Trade Marketing plan aligned with LTM’s brand.
Use familiarisation trips, joint marketing initiatives, sales activities, and representation at key domestic and international trade events (e.g. World Travel Market, UKinbound, ETOA) to generate leads, strengthen relationships, and enhance brand visibility. Proactively secure new business with travel trade and group operators, agents, and online travel agencies (OTAs) while maintaining and deepening existing partnerships to drive growth.
Optimise the investment of travel trade memberships (UKinbound, ETOA, etc.).
Engage internal stakeholders to promote travel trade opportunities and collaborate to drive process efficiencies for partners and visitors.
Develop and manage the travel trade budget as part of the annual cycle and provide ongoing monthly reporting.
Technology & Systems: Manage existing integrations and oversee new integrations with ticketing systems and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to streamline booking processes and maintain accurate partner data.
Develop and deliver structured training programmes for partners and internal teams to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
Collaborate with Marketing colleagues to execute campaigns and Public Relations (PR) initiatives targeting travel trade, ensuring brand consistency and measurable impact.

A strong knowledge of the arts and heritage sector including visitor attractions (desirable)
A high standard of knowledge of budget and financial planning (desirable)
Experience
Experience of working in a target‑driven environment (essential)
Strong sales and partnership experience in the travel industry (essential)
Previous experience in a sales role within the attraction sector (essential)
Previous experience of developing and delivering a travel trade strategy (essential)
Previous experience of managing and reporting on a budget (essential)
Proven track record in a sales role, selling into domestic and international trade partners and associations (essential)
Proven track record of delivering increased sales within the industry (essential)
Experience of working in collaboration across teams, in order to drive efficient processes and sales outcomes (desirable)
