About
The Mobile HGV Technician (Depot based at Widnes) is responsible for service and repair of a wide variety of vehicles including refuse trucks. Salary: £47,167.61 per annum + Bonus + Van. Working hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 16:30 with option to join the on‑call rota. Responsibilities
Undertake routine inspection and repair of internal and external customers’ vehicles within the NRG workshop estate. Opportunity to join the on‑call rota. Work on HGVs and equipment from manufacturers including Mercedes, Dennis Eagle, DAF, Isuzu and Terberg. Undertake commercial vehicle MOT inspections, repair and final preparation for MOT test. Attend breakdowns, diagnose and complete necessary repairs to a high standard. Complete all compliance paperwork associated with repair and maintenance of the rental fleet. Qualifications
Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Engineer, HGV Mechanic, Mobile HGV Technician or Mobile Fleet Engineer (essential). HGV technical qualification - NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent (preferred); time‑served experience will also be considered. Previous experience with auxiliary equipment advantageous. Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics advantageous. Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred. Excellent customer service skills, a great team player and able to work on own initiative. Benefits
