We're recruiting on behalf of a successful, growing FMCG wholesaler where you would own the IT function and have autonomy in the role. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, family-run, 100% employee-owned business that is expanding rapidly and moving to a larger premises in the near future. The business retains a close-knit, pragmatic and collaborative culture. Up to £75,000 Southampton Flexible Working What you will be doing: This is a hands‑on IT Project Manager role, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of technology initiatives, with a major focus on delivering a business-critical ERP upgrade (Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central preferred). You'll be trusted to shape how IT projects are delivered across the business - working closely with warehouse, transport, finance, sales, and purchasing teams. What we're looking for: Someone who: Is naturally proactive Is comfortable working hands‑on in a business without a mature IT structure Communicates confidently with both technical partners and non-technical stakeholders Enjoys autonomy and ownership in a growing, operationally driven wholesale business Thrives in a down-to-earth, people-focused culture Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and systems projects across the business Own the ERP upgrade, ensuring minimal disruption to wholesale operations Translate operational business needs into clear technical requirements Work closely with warehouse, transport, finance, sales, and purchasing teams Create and maintain project plans, RAID logs, roadmaps, and reporting Skills & Experience Proven experience delivering IT projects in multi-system environments ERP upgrade experience (Dynamics / Business Central highly desirable) Strong understanding of SDLC and software delivery Confident stakeholder management and clear communication style Comfortable operating autonomously with minimal IT infrastructure in place Why This Role Stands Out Employee-owned wholesaler - everyone has a stake in the business Direct access to senior leadership and real influence Expanding business with new premises and significant investment planned Monthly profit share (currently averaging at £200 tax-free per month) If this IT Project Manager role sounds of interest please contact nicktrussler@spectrumit.co.uk
