At The Emeril Group we are looking for an experienced and innovative Chef de Cuisine for our New Orleans market.  Proven success in the kitchen as a passionate, effective leader who has the ability to motivate and direct the kitchen staff. You will be responsible for meeting kitchen food and labor cost targets. You will create new menu items, maintain quality control, and manage inventory and purchasing. Must have prior experience as a Chef de Cuisine/ Executive Chef.

Candidates must have an undying passion for fine food and for providing the ultimate dining experience for every one of our guests.  An enthusiastic sense of hospitality with professional, friendly demeanor and positive employee relations abilities are a must.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct all food operations from prep through service
  • Maintain the highest quality and standards in the daily operation of the kitchen
  • Management and development of Sous Chef, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and all hourly team members
  • Work efficiently to resolve any issues that arise in the kitchen
  • Oversee Human Resources responsibilities to include creating a work environment that fosters teamwork, open communication, mutual respect and employee satisfaction. Quality hiring and training of new staff to ensure a diverse workforce

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to- day culinary operations
  • Assist in reviewing monthly P&L and culinary budgets. Analyze and address areas of concern and define needs for improvement.
  • Knowledge, understanding and enforcement of all food safety regulations and consistently maintaining all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
