We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team in Miami, Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport goods from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas. This position is essential to our **logistics** operations, ensuring the smooth movement of inventory. A strong emphasis is placed on **safety**, and you will be expected to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the correct use of **PPE**. This role requires precision, vigilance, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to fulfill orders and manage inventory levels. Experience with various types of forklifts and a solid understanding of warehouse **safety** regulations are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and **safety**.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
- Follow all **logistics** procedures for material handling and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements, including wearing a hard hat and safety vest.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist other team members with warehouse tasks when required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts and powered industrial trucks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse **safety** procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including **lifting** up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must wear appropriate **PPE** at all times.
- Familiarity with **logistics** and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
