We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Houston, Texas facility! Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and errors.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure proper stock placement.
- Oversee the accuracy of picking and shipping processes related to inventory.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient stock flow.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all inventory items, adhering to safety standards.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and related metrics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
