We are seeking a diligent and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Miami, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and tracking of materials within our warehouse facility. Your primary focus will be to ensure efficient operations by accurately receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for distribution. This includes operating various material handling equipment, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and collaborating with other warehouse personnel to meet daily operational goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable of the demands of the job, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and productivity. You will play a vital part in the smooth flow of our supply chain, contributing directly to our company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials according to established procedures.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Properly use required PPE at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is paramount for success in this logistics position.
