About
We are looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and supporting our logistics chain. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order fulfillment. If you possess excellent operating skills, a strong commitment to Safety, and experience in a busy warehouse environment, we want to hear from you. This position is key to maintaining our operational efficiency and ensuring the integrity of our goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks as needed) to move pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks accurately and safely.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and Safety.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the logistics team in achieving daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting. Knowledge of warehouse operations and Safety procedures. Ability to perform moderate Lifting and material handling tasks. Strong understanding of Safety protocols for forklift operation. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Must be reliable and punctual.
