About
Our Washington, D.C. office is looking for a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately processed, documented, and dispatched correctly. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping labels, and ensuring that all packages meet shipping requirements. If you have a passion for accuracy and a desire to contribute to a seamless supply chain, this is the perfect opportunity. You will be a key player in our distribution process, ensuring that our products reach their destinations on time and in excellent condition. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining our reputation for reliability in the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify the accuracy of shipping information and product counts.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Label packages correctly for domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other shipping and receiving duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role. Familiarity with shipping software and procedures. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle documentation accurately. Must be able to assist with Lifting packages when necessary. A commitment to Safety and accuracy in all tasks. Excellent communication skills.
