Join our dedicated team in Columbus, Ohio, as a Picker/Packer. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, picking them according to order specifications, and then carefully packing them for shipment. Success in this position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a commitment to maintaining a well-organized workspace. As part of our logistics operations, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain. Safety is a top priority, and all Picker/Packers are required to follow strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a great opportunity for individuals who are proactive, reliable, and looking to contribute to a successful distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product identification and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items carefully and securely into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages for shipment and stage them for pickup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and put-away tasks as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Team player with good communication skills.
