We are actively recruiting a Material Handler for our expanding warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, and staging materials, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is physically fit, reliable, and possesses a strong commitment to workplace safety and organization. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our shipping department. Responsibilities:
- Receiving, unpacking, and verifying incoming shipments.
- Moving materials to designated storage locations using appropriate equipment.
- Picking and preparing materials for outgoing orders and production.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Accurately documenting material movements in the warehouse system.
- Performing regular inventory checks and assisting with stock takes.
- Following all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
- Operating manual and powered equipment like pallet jacks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse equipment.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety .
