Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and internal transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and store materials properly in designated locations.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and location verification.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations and meet productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes demanding, warehouse environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Commitment to safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
- Experience in logistics and material handling preferred.
