We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, securely, and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and preparing orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding our high standards for quality and safety in our logistics operations. Your accuracy in processing shipments directly impacts customer satisfaction and our operational efficiency. We foster a safety-conscious culture, requiring strict adherence to all protocols, including correct lifting methods and the mandatory use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, verifying order details and shipping information.
- Accurately document all shipment information for record-keeping.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing goods for quality and ensure proper packaging to prevent damage.
- Manage shipping supplies inventory and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the shipping department.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including safe lifting practices.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used at all times during shipping operations.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales, printers, and basic pallet jacks.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics flow.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software.
- Knowledge of shipping carrier requirements and procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to lifting guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the use of PPE.
