About
We are looking for a dependable and energetic Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Houston, Texas. This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of goods through our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, moving, staging, and preparing materials for shipment. Key duties include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely. This position requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Experience with various types of forklifts and an understanding of warehouse logistics are highly valued. We provide all necessary training on equipment operation and safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE. Come be a part of our essential logistics operations!
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Stage materials for order picking and shipping.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical labor.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory flow.
