Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating stock variances, and implementing corrective actions. You will also assist in managing stock rotation, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against inventory records, and maintaining the integrity of our Warehouse Management System (WMS). This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding our rigorous standards for accuracy and organization. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Track and reconcile incoming and outgoing inventory movements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to implement best practices in inventory management.
  • Report on inventory metrics and provide insights for process improvement.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety protocols.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely when required, ensuring proper use of PPE .
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed, contributing to overall Logistics flow.
  • This role may involve significant Lifting and physical activity.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role. Familiarity with WMS software. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
