About
Our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a skilled Material Handler to manage the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. This role is integral to the efficiency of our supply chain, ensuring materials are handled safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience operating material handling equipment and a strong commitment to workplace safety .
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory to ensure efficient access.
- Load and unload trucks for shipment and receiving.
- Inspect equipment for defects and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Perform regular checks on material inventory levels.
- Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Support the broader logistics operations through efficient material flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is required.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and logistics .
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE consistently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
