Job Summary:
Are you a certified Forklift Operator seeking a new opportunity? We are hiring a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our **logistics** operations, ensuring the smooth flow of inventory. Maintaining a secure work environment through strict adherence to **safety** protocols and the proper use of **PPE** is paramount. This position requires precision, speed, and the ability to handle **lifting** tasks associated with material movement.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Stack and retrieve merchandise from various levels of racking.
  • Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stock placement and cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from hazards.
  • Adhere to all company **safety** rules and regulations, including **PPE** requirements.
  • Participate in regular **safety** training sessions.
  • Handle the **lifting** and movement of goods, often involving palletized loads.
  • Support the overall **logistics** team in achieving operational targets.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of **logistics** and warehouse operations.
  • Strong commitment to **safety** and accident prevention.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including some **lifting** up to 50 lbs.
  • Must wear required **PPE**, including steel-toed boots and safety glasses.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
